TÊTE-A-TÊTE

What has made you stay so long with Al-Rashed?
I can make it simple with the terminology “Corporate Culture”. Being a part of the Al-
Rashed Team is essential as it signifies all are working towards a shared goal. My
contribution is always recognized, appreciated & I am treated fairly. Sales job has got
two major phases such as sustainable Marketing Strategy and the other one is the
Profitability. Our CEO is my mentor as he gives me proper directives to swim across the
competition as well as tips to develop rapport & retain customers. When it comes to
profitability aspects, I am properly guided by our CFO not only in aiming profit, but also
from the point of assessing customer’s financial strength and treating them with
flexibility, thus ensuring our financial goal. These concerns ease me in doing business
effectively and efficiently and continuing my stay with the company. SIBI ALEX
                                                                                DY. MANAGER- SALES & MARKETING
How much the market has changed in tapping new clients?
The market has become volatile, unlike in earlier days. Over the years, the sales concept has totally changed to the
marketing concept, where we must customize our products suiting to customer’s requirements. During the start of my career,
the target was to sell the readily available products or to search for suitable customers for our products, but now the
challenge is how we can effectively mould our products to meet their demands.

What are the challenges you come across in your day-to-day task?
There is no such gear to put ON to run the sales job in an Auto-pilot mode. Every customer is unique, and catering for them
according to their needs/demands is always a challenge. Every day teaches me something new to add to my strategy
planning. It’s an unending SOP and how effectively I make myself adaptable to an ever-changing environment is also a
             welcoming challenge.

What are your sales strategies to sail through during the pandemic?
In any economic downturn, every penny matters. Now, more than ever, marketing decisions need to be targeted and data-
driven to ensure the best results. Strengthening the relationship with customers to build a feel in them that we fully support
them during these challenging times. Also, by offering them multiple choices for their logistical moves and acting as a sales
consultant to help them find the most effective solution for their needs and keeping them updated with factors that can
influence their business in a geographical manner.

What are the things that you do to unwind after a long and hectic day?
             a) Keeping myself engaged by reading management books for academic interests & trying to connect my professional
             experience with theoretical literature.
             b) Observing the efforts behind filmmaking and evaluating movies by their impact on social responsibility.
c). Exerting towards the self-goal to reach a healthy BMI.

What is one thing that you believe that can be done differently in our company?
Periodic training and testing on areas of work, which would make employees up to date about the recent market
developments and can improve their efficiency.
