KRCS provides food to poor in Kuwait during Ramadan
Holy month of Ramadan began in Kuwait 24th April 2020
Kuwait Red Crescent Society is delivering 7,000 iftar meals
per day throughout the current fasting month of Ramadan to workers and the
needy in many many Kuwaiti regions. KRCS Secretary General Maha Al-Barjas
said in a statement to KUNA on Saturday the meals would be delivered to
workers and low-income residents in Al-Mahboula, Khaitan, maternity, Al-Amiri
and Al-Sabah hospitals,medical warehouses, Kuwait University, Mubarak Al-
Kabeer governorate, the ports, ministry of electricity and water and Public
Authority for Applied Education
and Training (PAAET).
Kuwait Public works Ministry builds 5000 beds quarantine
Kuwait converted a section of the Jabel Al-Ahmad Sports Stadium comprising
1,250 beds as quarantine for COVID-19 patients. Kuwait’s Minister of Public
Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Dr. Rana Al-Fares, said that the
facility will be delivered to the country’s Ministry of Health. Dr. Al-Fares said that
the quarantine facility was built by the frontline volunteers from the Kuwait Red
Crescent Society.
Additionally, the undersecretary of the ministry, Ismail Al-Failakawi said that the
quarantine facility was built in three weeks. The complex includes a field medical
centre, dormitories for medics and nurses, 5,000-beds, intensive care units, and
pharmacies.

Iraq: Oil price drop fuels economic crisis.
Iraq has been hit by political instability that has effectively left it without a

IIraq's al-Kadhimi to form gov't after PM-designate withdraws
Iraq's Intelligence Chief Mustafa al-Kadhimi has been asked to form a
“DON'T LIVE THE government.That is after Prime Minister-designate Adnan al-Zurfi withdrew his
SAME YEAR 75 TIMES candidacy over mounting pressure from the opposition.Al-Kadhimi is the third
person to be named to the post in just over two months.

during the holy month of Ramadan, and Iraq is no exception.It is perhaps the only
custom that has remained unaffected by the curfew imposed in response to the
COVID-19 pandemic.And that has raised the stakes for those producing the
shows.
