Amir holds talks with Pompeo on Kuwait-US relations, issues
HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, with the attendance of HH
the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received at Bayan
Palace yesterday Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-
Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, who was accompanied by visiting US Secretary of
State Mike Pompeo, who conveyed greetings of US President Donald Trump to HH
the Amir. During the meeting, the Amir also relayed his greetings to Trump, and
discussed a number of issues of mutual interest and the historical relations between
the two nations.

‘Silk City’ project most crucial to diversify revenues
The Harir (Silk City) project is one of the most important sources that will contribute
to diversifying the country’s revenues and creating many job opportunities that
Kuwait needs to handle the unemployment issue over the years,” said Muhammad
Al-Qattan, member of the KAFO program of the Amiri Diwan, reports Al-Rai daily.

List of countries whose nationals are not allowed to enter Kuwait with their
GCC sponsors
The Ministry of the Interior has submitted to the Saudi Embassy a list of countries
whose citizens are not allowed to enter the country with their GCC sponsors, in
addition to the nationalities generally restricted from entering Kuwait, reports Al-
Anba daily.
Upon request, dated Jan 22, 2019, from the consular affairs section at the Saudi
Embassy in Kuwait as to citizens from which countries cannot accompany their
Saudi sponsors when they visit Kuwait, the Ministry of Interior had issued a list of
countries on Feb 4, 2019, a copy of which has been obtained by Al-Anba, showing
the nationals (domestic workers) of which countries cannot accompany their GCC
sponsors.
