How you did you get affiliated in Shipping Industry?
Definitely not preplanned. One friend referred a job availability in NVOCC back in India. Attempted interview,
was offered the job and it was a jump start.
What is the craziest thing you have done in your professional life?
Challenge of an operational task never performed in Kuwait waters. Analyzed with colleagues and eventually
convinced authorities though it took long and all confirmations piled up to last minute. It was a huge value project
and if misfired, I would have been out of the industry
What’s your pastime activity?
Definitely acquiring more information. Could be in any form- news on TV, info from Google on industry matters
and the likes.
Also love long drive, Movies and Short prayers.
What’s your biggest achievement or most proud moment?
Corporate Bid of KNPC / New Refinery now called the Al Zour Refinery / KIPIC.
First ever cargo of this refinery was under Al Rashed International Shipping Co / Jumbo contract via CTC
Tell us about one mistake that you have made during the early days of your career?
Wrong choice of organizations which corrected at later stages.
Who inspires you the most?
Superiors, colleagues are definitely the inspirations at work place. Partially family & friends in industry are
additional flavors. Each one has the caliber in their field. You have the opportunity of learning every day as long
as you grasp the right of it. At times it is also from colleagues
One thing that you really admire about Al Rashed and one aspect that you think can be done differently
?
It is an Open university. As long as you have the determination, you can explore different fields of activity,
introduce new ideas which superiors do listen and support. There is a lot of pressure on the senior management
which needs to be distributed / disbursed.
Last, what message you would like to give it to your readers?
Be passionate to the job. Learn with accuracy & keep learning. Think twice before execution & consult for clarity.
Be honest, disclose errors so corrections can be applied immediate Improvement in technology should be used
precisely as required.
New avenues, opportunities to be utilized to best for organisation precision, analysis, communication, passion &
honesty are the prime for personal growth & success in their careers.
