                                              Maersk in deal to provide global logistics to deliver Covid vaccine for
                                              Covaxx
                                              Maersk is partnering with US drug manufacturer Covaxx to provide logistics
                                              support for the delivery of  Covid-19 vaccines.Although several airlines have
                                              announced plans to be ready to transport an expected vaccine, Maersk is the
                                              first shipping line to proactively prepare for what has been described as “the
                                              biggest product launch in history”.

                                              CMA CGM's Second 23,000 TEU LNG Containership Delivered
                                              CMA  CGM  has  taken  delivery  of  CMA  CGM  Champs  Elysées,  its  second
                                              23,000  TEU  capacity  containership  powered  by  liquefied  natural  gas
                                              (LNG).The  newbuild,  which  follows  flagship  CMA  CGM  Jacques  Saadé
                                              delivered  in  Setember,  is  part  of  a  series  of  nine  ordered  by  the  French
                                              shipping  line  from  CSSC’s  shipyard  in  Shanghai,  designed  as  the  world's
                                              most efficient ultra large container vessels. LNG fuel, which enables a 99%
                                              reduction in sulfur dioxide and fine particle emissions and an 85% reduction
                                              in nitrogen dioxide emissions, is a key component of the CMA CGM Group's
                                              environmental ambitions. The group has previously outlined its objective to
                                              be carbon neutral by 2050.

                                              Cargill Looks to Use Wind to Cut Carbon in Shipping
                                              Cargill,  one  of  the  world's  biggest  charterers  of  ships,  is  working  with
                                              technology partners to fit sails on vessels in its fleet to cut carbon emissions
                                              through  harnessing  wind  power,  the  U.S.  agribusiness  group  said  on
                                              Wednesday.About  90%  of  world  trade  is  transported  by  sea  and  the
                                              International Maritime Organization (IMO) has said it aims to reduce overall
                                              greenhouse  gas  emissions  from  ships  by  50%  from  2008  levels  by
                                              2050.Carbon emissions from shipping rose in the six-year period to 2018 and
                                              accounted for 2.9% of the world’s CO2, the latest IMO-commissioned study
                                              showed, adding pressure on the industry to bring levels down.
                                              Cargill, whose chartered fleet of around 600 ships comprises dry bulk ships
                                              and  tankers,  said  it  had  partnered  with  engineering  specialists  BAR
                                              Technologies and naval architect Deltamarin to develop wing sails that reach
